Open Exness Account →Windows 10 and 11 both run MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 as ordinary desktop programs, and neither is demanding by modern standards. On a machine in Zambia that has been in service a few years, the terminal is rarely the heaviest thing running, since a browser with several tabs open alongside it competes for the same memory.

What a Windows machine actually needs
Two things are worth checking before installing: free disk space, since chart history accumulates over time, and available memory, since every open chart holds data. Closing unused charts and trimming the number of instruments in the watchlist does more for a modest machine than any setting buried in the options.
The advantage of the desktop terminal is that the workspace persists. Templates, indicator settings and drawn levels stay on disk and reopen as they were, so the effort put into a layout is not repeated. That is the main reason to install rather than work in a browser on a computer you own.
Zambia observes UTC+2 all year. The London open falls at 10:00 or 09:00 in local time and the New York open at 15:00 or 14:00, moving only when northern clocks change, so a computer already switched on during the day covers both. The same account also opens on a phone, so the desktop does not have to be running for you to see a position.

Desktop app or web on the PC
If you would rather not install a desktop app, the Exness Terminal runs in any browser on the PC with nothing to download. MetaTrader gives more advanced charting and automated trading; the web terminal starts without an install.
